Celebration is a bold and rhythmic original composition, perfect as a grand prelude for worship, concerts, or festivals. Opening with strong chords, a bright melody, and driving energy, the piece immediately evokes a spirit of joy and festivity, pulsing with excitement from the first measure.
Scored for Level 3 ensembles, this jubilant work features a wide range of handbell techniques including swings, echoes, martellato, and mart lift. Optional parts for handchimes and belleplates allow for flexible performance by multiple choirs or mixed-level groups. The piece can be performed by a 3–5 octave handbell choir alone, or expanded with an optional 3–5 octave  handbell or handchime choir 1, and an easier 3-octave handchime or belleplate choir 2 - ideal for beginning ringers.
Commissioned as a concert finale, Celebration gives choirs the opportunity to showcase their musicality, coordination, and energy. Its vibrant rhythms, syncopation, and memorable themes make it an exhilarating experience for both ringers and audiences alike.
