Yeung Tsz Ting, Phoebe, is a handbell conductor, composer, performer, and educator. She holds a Master of Church Music degree from Concordia University Wisconsin, with a specialization in handbell, and a Bachelor of Education (Honours) degree in Music from the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK).  With over a decade of extensive experience in handbell teaching and conducting, ensembles under her direction have received numerous awards in both international and local competitions. Phoebe currently serves as director, conductor and workshop instructor for various school and community handbell ensembles, actively advancing local handbell performance standards while dedicating herself to cultivating handbell educators. She has been invited as a guest instructor at EdUHK’s CEO Academy and is a committee member of EdUHK’s “Community School Handbell Teaching Partnership Program.” Phoebe also conducts the EdUHK Handbell Ensemble, focusing on nurturing the next generation into outstanding performers and educators. She is frequently invited to adjudicate handbell competitions across Hong Kong, continuously driving higher standards within the industry. 

To promote the development and education of handbell music in Hong Kong, Phoebe founded CantoBell Hub in 2025 and serves as its director. The Hub aims to provide diverse handbell resources to the local community and foster cultural exchange through handbell artistry. Phoebe also founded and served as director of BelleMusik and Bellprints Handbell Supply, managing a variety of professional handbell training programs and events, including the Bellprints International Handbell Festival, injecting new vitality into Hong Kong’s handbell scene.

A lifelong handbell enthusiast, Phoebe began her studies under Ms. Zerlina Wong during her academic years, gaining solid leadership and performance experience. She further refined her handbell performance and composition skills under internationally renowned handbell master Dr. John Behnke, and studied choral conducting under Prof. Henry Leck and Dr. Alexa Doebele, specializing in conducting techniques. To further enhance her handbell conducting and performance abilities, Phoebe actively participates in global handbell events, including the International Handbell Symposium, National Seminar, and conducting masterclasses, striving to elevate her musical artistry to new heights.

As a founding committee member and conductor of the “BellSingers” handbell ensemble, Phoebe leads the team in organizing and participating large-scale concerts, widely promoting handbell culture. She is also a founding member of the Bellprints Handbell Quartet, performing regularly in Hong Kong and overseas. The quartet was invited as international guest performers to hold Christmas concerts at London’s Rudolf Steiner House in 2016 and 2017, and Bellprints was also honored to start the 2017 Christmas event for an international fashion brand in Shanghai, receiving high acclaim.

As a composer and arranger of handbell music, Phoebe’s works have been published in both Hong Kong and the United States, continuously enriching the international handbell repertoire.
